John Spoede, along with his wife Angela and daughter Vivian, is a long-time Katy resident having graduated from Katy High School. John has a B.A. from Baylor and a M. Ed. in Counseling from University of Houston- Victoria. John is licensed as a therapist as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). John's current specialty is working with adolescents and families, including transition issues, anger management, school and career issues, premarital counseling, parenting issues, addictions, and most other issues that pertain to adolescence. John primarily works with students fourth grade and higher. John has advanced Spanish-speaking abilities, but performs counseling in English. John has worked in the schools as a teacher and counselor, John is a licensed and ordained Southern Baptist Minister, has worked as a Youth Pastor at a church, and has worked in Residential Treatment Center for students. On a personal note, John believes that everyone is on a journey, and hopes to come along-side and help all of his clients better navigate the road of life by following the healthiest, most satisfying, and Christ-honoring path possible.
