I work with people of all beliefs and know that God loves everyone. My hope is to help everyone love and accept themselves as God does. I credit my success in counseling to my partnership with God. My relationship with God is the most important thing to me.

Prior to my Master’s degree, I worked with pregnant teenagers and families at DePelchin Children’s Center and families at Houston Child Guidance Center. After my degree I worked in psychiatric hospitals for Rapha Christian Treatment Centers and at Houston Center for Christian Counseling. I also spent 4 years with United Behavioral Health as a case manager.

As you can see, I have much experience with clinical diagnosis, adolescent issues, family struggles and life stresses. During my career I have completed special training in trauma related disorders and use Trauma Resolution Therapy as well as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing).

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Psychology and Social Work and a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist (1994) and a Professional Counselor (1991) with the state of Texas. I have been married since 1974 and have a daughter and a granddaughter. I am active in my church leading a Ladies Group.
