I received my Masters Degree in Counseling from The Houston Graduate School of Theology and have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from The University of Texas. I am licensed by the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
I view psychotherapy as a collaborative process, and building and nurturing relationships is my strength. As a therapist with the Houston Center for Christian Counseling, I work with individuals, adolescents, and families. I work with difficulties such as anxiety and panic, grief, depression, adolescent and parenting issues, and divorce recovery. I assist with stress management, decision making, life transitions, interpersonal relationships, assertiveness and communication skills.
I am passionate about the process and the potential for therapy, which can be a meaningful and transforming experience. Taking time out to discover more about yourself and preparing to take action toward positive change through the experience of psychotherapy involves reasonableness, courage and responsibility for self and others. I respect the capacity of my clients to take charge of and align their lives with their chosen vision and goals, and a rewarding aspect of this work for me is seeing that happen.
I am married and have two grown stepsons and a daughter in college.
