Our God loves you and believes in your God-given identity, no matter the struggles or the mistakes. Out of your pain and your losses, God sees who you can grow to be. You can grow to be “oaks of righteousness” created for His splendor (Isaiah 61:3).
I believe our God invites you to rest in Him, and He loves you no matter the issue you face. Our God invites you to bring your burden to Him and to redefine yourself in a healthy way.
I have had the pleasure of working with clients since 1989. I work with those that have suffered greatly in areas of depression, abuse, anxiety, grief, and marriage. I counsel individuals as well as couples striving to learn how to create oneness in the midst of painful relationships. I am EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) trained to aid in trauma resolution and active in the American Association for Christian Counselors.
I enjoy teaching seminars and have concentrated on conflict resolution, marriage, divorce recovery, parenting adolescents, empty nest, purpose of living and women’s roles. I have had the amazing experience of internationally sharing God’s will for lives and marriages in China and Honduras.
I joined the Counseling Center in the fall of 2005, after working in private practice for 15 years. Prior to working in Sugar Land, I worked at a counseling center in West Texas for 3 years.
I received my undergraduate degree from Abilene Christian University and my Masters degree from Texas A&M University. I completed my Licensed Professional Counselor licensure in 1989 and my Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist licensure in 1991. I am also certified as a LPC supervisor.
My husband and I have been married since 1979. We enjoy working with our home church to equip couples to create God inspired marriages as well as how to parent with confidence according to God’s plans. My husband and I are blessed with two wonderful married children and their precious spouses. We also delight in the blessings of three grandchildren!
