I believe you are created for wholeness. I also recognize this world is full of pitfalls and harms that create wounds, and sometimes we are also the ones causing wounds. I believe we tell ourselves stories to make sense of this world, and sometimes those stories are more informed by those wounds than they are our intentional design. I believe my role as a counselor is to help you recognize blind spots, uncover untrue stories you are telling yourself, and grow tools to help in your journey of healing and wholeness.
I hold a Masters of Art in Counseling as well as a Masters in Education. I practice counseling in the State of Texas as an LPC. I also hold an LMFT-Associate license supervised by Dr. Jerry Terrill, LPC-S, LMFT-S. I am currently pursuing my certification as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT). Additionally, I am a member of the American Counseling Association.
I have advanced training in marriage counseling, and I am certified in level 1 and level 2 with The Gottman Method of marriage therapy which is a scientifically proven therapy for couples. Additionally, I am trained in PACT therapy model for couples. I have been trained in EMDR as well. I have extensive ministry experience beginning in 1999, largely working with couples and individuals and helping them work through places they are “stuck” in life.
I love spending time with my three children in the various activities we enjoy. I love basketball… everything about basketball! In my free time, I also enjoy watching a good movie.
