Hello! Finding a counselor can be the most difficult and intimidating part of your journey because it requires honesty and vulnerability. I want to affirm you for taking this step.

No matter how dark life may seem, how hopeless it all feels, or how confusing it may be, I am here to tell you that there is hope. As a Christian counselor, I am called to provide this hope by helping you to walk in the life that God has created you for. This is known as “soul-care”. This may be a hard journey for you, but I believe God is a God of redemption and wants to restore the story in your life that He has designed from the beginning.

My approach to counseling is established in a Christian Psychology framework, which means that I use a Christ-centered and clinically informed view of therapy. Meaning I believe that a person is made up of more than their parts, so we should not treat based on symptoms alone. We must look at all aspects of the individual: body, soul, and spirit. I have learned to utilize different methods and techniques, in a distinctly Christian way, that will best fit the care that you need.

Overall, I enjoy working with individuals and couples who come with a wide variety of life’s problems, but I have special interest in spiritual/theological issues, men/manhood, marriages, fitness/body movement, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

I earned my undergraduate degree in Theological Studies at Houston Baptist University, where I also earned a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate in Texas under the supervision of Tim Mavergeorge, LPC-S and Jeanne Hensley, LPC-S. I am currently a member of American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), Christian Association for Psychological Studies (CAPS), and Christian Counselors of Texas (CCT).

My wife and I were both born and raised in Houston, Texas. We both enjoy traveling, fishing, watching movies, completing reading challenges, or spending a fun day at the gun range. Outside of that, I spend most of my time in the gym lifting and competing!
