Hi! My name is Jacqui, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A). Throughout my life, I have witnessed and experienced pain, and I've seen firsthand the positive impact counseling can have on a person's life. I have a deep passion for working with children, teens, and adults. Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but I would love to walk with you or your child on this counseling journey. Watching clients grow stronger and realize they can achieve anything they set their minds to fills my heart with joy. I strive to create a safe space for my clients where I can listen to and understand them. Each of you is unique, and God has a purpose for you in this world.
I utilize a person-centered approach, along with cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), relational frameworks, and trauma-informed methodologies in my practice. I have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, and adults who are confronting a variety of challenges, including relationship difficulties, trauma recovery, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety management, and depression navigation.
A bit about me: I am a Houston native and hold an undergraduate degree in Child Development from East Texas Baptist University, as well as a Master's in Clinical Mental Health from Houston Christian University. When I'm not counseling, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our Border Collie, Denver. I also have a passion for dance and coach at a local school in the Houston area.
