My name is Penny Roberts, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to supporting you, and walking with you, as we take this journey together. Learning to deal with depression, addiction, emotions, relationships, and other concerns can be overwhelming, but I believe everyone deserves to be heard.
From anxiety and depression to relationship issues, I have experience in almost all areas including specialty work with eating disorders and complex trauma.
I do provide care for teens whose parents have already completed the divorce process and are not seeking to modify current custody agreements. My focus is on supporting children as they adjust emotionally to family changes, transitions between homes, loyalty conflicts, grief, anger, and identity shifts. For therapy to be effective, both parents must be willing to support their child’s therapeutic process. For these reasons, I do not counsel families that are in an active divorce or custody case.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Houston Baptist University and received a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The University of Houston-Victoria. Before returning to graduate school, I worked as a pastry chef for twelve years. I love reading and spending time with my two daughters. In my free moments you can find me baking pies, cookies, and French macarons.
I look forward to meeting you!
