I love working with individuals, adolescents, young adults, couples, and families. My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, emotion regulation, grief/loss, life transitions, parenting, marriage, family conflict, and more. I also have a deep desire to work with immigrant families (1st, 2nd, etc. generation) with the challenges that arise from integrating into their local communities.
My desire is to meet you right where you are, to walk alongside you, and to work collaboratively with you to identify effective solutions for the challenges you are facing. I believe it is extremely important to build trust with every client by providing a safe and non-judgmental environment where you feel heard and understood.
There is incredible evidence and benefit to incorporating your spiritual faith background in therapy. I am able to integrate a Christian faith perspective while also sensitive to and able to work with a worldview that is different than my own. My desire is to help you work through life’s challenges to get to a place of health and healing by better understanding deep rooted issues impacting you while also building practical skills to manage and regulate any immediate symptoms.
I received my Master of Arts in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary-Charlotte in 2017. I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist-Associate in the State of Texas.
My husband and I have been married since 2009. I am bilingual (English and Amharic). We love our Goldendoodle pup. When I’m not in the office spending time with clients, you can usually find me either planning our next adventure/travel plans, in the garage tinkering with my latest DIY home project, reading a variety of books, or enjoying a long bike ride.
