You don’t have to face life’s challenges alone. Taking that first step toward healing and peace can feel daunting, but I’m here to walk alongside you with compassionate counseling and unwavering encouragement. Since 2005, I’ve been dedicated to helping clients identify core issues, find clarity, and embrace a life of meaning. Together, we’ll navigate your journey with faith, support, and a commitment to your growth.
I enjoy working with individual adults and couples. Some of the areas that I work with are anxiety, depression, boundaries, marital problems, communication, betrayed partners, infidelity, and stress management. I have also done a lot of work with singles and single parents and was a featured guest on FamilyLife Today addressing the challenges faced by young single adults. I hold certifications in the Prepare/Enrich and SYMBIS (Saving your Marriage Before It Starts) programs, enabling me to guide couples in building strong foundations for marriage.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, thoughtfully integrated with other evidence-based methods to meet your unique needs. Through active listening and targeted questions, I collaborate with you to identify thought patterns that may impede your growth, fostering insight and lasting change. My practice is informed by my Christian faith, yet I respect your preferences, allowing you to determine the extent to which faith is incorporated into our work together.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts from Houston Baptist University, with a double major in Psychology and Christianity, and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology also from Houston Baptist University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor in the State of Texas. I’ve been married to my wife, Holly, since 1997, and we have four children, though one is no longer with us—a loss that deeply impacted our family. While devastating, this experience strengthened our resilience and deepened my understanding of grief, which I bring to my work to support those who have faced similar losses. Outside of counseling, I enjoy playing the guitar, going on walks with my wife, and serving in our church. I am committed to providing a supportive and understanding environment to help you achieve your goals.
