Finding the right counselor can feel overwhelming—especially when you’re seeking someone your child can genuinely connect with. As both a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) and a current middle school counselor, I work closely with students every day and understand the real pressures they face, from academic stress and anxiety to social struggles, self-esteem, and everything in between.
My background includes a decade of experience working with adolescents, both as a classroom teacher and a school counselor. I specialize in supporting adolescents (ages 10 and up) as they navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, peer conflict, and the often complex process of figuring out who they are in a world that can feel overwhelming.
My counseling approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and biblical truth. I help teens explore how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected—challenging harmful patterns and developing healthier ways of thinking and coping.
I recognize that every teen is on their own spiritual journey. Whether your child is deeply rooted in their faith, questioning it, or unsure where they stand, I strive to meet them where they are—with empathy and grace. My goal is to create a welcoming and respectful environment where children and teens feel seen, supported, and encouraged.
I hold a master’s degree in counseling and am licensed in Texas as an LPC Associate under the supervision of Jill Wiseman, LPC-S and Jeanne Hensley, M.S., LPC-S. Outside of work, I enjoy life with my husband and our two young children. We love good Mexican food, weekend adventures, and creating space for joy and connection amid the busyness of family life.
If you're looking for a counselor who truly understands adolescents and is passionate about walking alongside them with empathy and faith-informed care, I’d be honored to connect.
